ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES WE UTILIZE IN OUR CAREFUL DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT PROCESSES INCLUDE:
Laser Periodontal Therapy for Treating Gum Disease

Dr. Fauver is using breakthrough laser technology called PerioLase® by Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc. for the treatment of gum disease. This is the only FDA approved laser treatment for gum disease, and it can treat WITHOUT cut-and-sew surgery WITH impressive results! The laser fiber is only about as thick as a couple of human hairs, tiny enough to practically painlessly remove infection-causing bacteria. Also, as it requires NO CUTTING, this treatment is a more comfortable way to treat periodontal disease and allow the body to heal naturally.
What a great way to ensure healthier gums and teeth for life! If you’re concerned about your gums, or even if you’ve been told that you need traditional gum surgery, this laser therapy may be the right alternative for you. Call us to schedule a consultation. Dr. Fauver really believes in the power of this treatment, and right now he is the only dentist in his area of Springfield, VT performing this procedure.
Intraoral Camera
Using this camera, we can give you a “tour” of your mouth on a TV screen (which is really cool). We also use the camera to guide you through your diagnosis and treatment options. This is helpful in keeping our patients at the center of their treatment plans. We want you to feel informed at every step of the way, so you can make smart choices for your oral health and smile.
Diagnodent

Since identifying and filling cavities is one of the most important things we do for patients, we use Diagnodent technology. This low intensity laser detects decay more precisely AND sooner than less accurate methods of the past. In addition to helping prevent the spread of decay, Diagnodent’s ability to catch decay early means that the fillings required are often simpler. This allows us to use minimally invasive filling procedures and preserve more natural tooth.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Composite fillings can be adhesively held in place or “bonded.” Because they can be bonded to teeth, composite fillings allow for more conservative preparations where less healthy tooth structure is removed. This often results in smaller fillings than that of amalgam (silver fillings), and they are more natural looking. The tooth-colored material is cured with a special light and the surface is shaped and polished to match the tooth, rendering the final restoration virtually undetectable to the eye. Composite fillings are also environmentally friendly because they don’t use mercury.

CEREC One-Visit Crowns

With CEREC technology, we can help improve your smile more conveniently than ever before. It enables us to provide crowns and onlays completed and placed in just ONE visit! CEREC uses a special camera and computer program to digitally design restorations. The computer-assisted manufacturing that follows is extremely precise for a natural looking and natural feeling fit. PLUS, this innovative process eliminates the need for messy impressions and temporary crowns! Ask us how this technology could make a difference in your smile.

Isolite System
Happy patients spend less time in the chair with greater comfort, so we use the Isolite System. This system has a soft and flexible mouthpiece to shield your tongue and cheek during procedures. It has a light to illuminate your mouth from the inside, so treatments are shadowless and more efficient. AND it has a place for you to rest your jaw. It also eliminates the need for cotton rolls and rinse breaks. All because your comfort is paramount, and we know you’ll especially appreciate the faster treatment times. Come in and experience the difference!
Professional Teeth Whitening
In addition to giving you the benefit of a cleaner looking and more attractive smile, teeth whitening has also been found to provide anti-cavity benefits and better overall enamel health. Maybe this is just because when your teeth look better, you take better care of them to keep them looking fabulous. Ask us about brightening your smile at your next visit.

The Lumineers® Veneers System
Can you imagine what it would be like to have a smile with straight, beautifully shaped, and dazzling white teeth? This is possible with Lumineers® porcelain veneers. Using this system, Dr. Fauver can apply the thin, custom-made, permanent veneers to the front of your teeth WITHOUT extensive grinding and shaping preparations. The smile of your dreams is just TWO VISITS away! In most cases, Lumineers® is a no-shot smile makeover.

Imtec Mini Dental Implants
Many of the more than 30 million Americans who are missing teeth struggle with uncomfortable or ill-fitting dentures or retainers with false teeth. Some even avoid social settings so they won’t have to wear their dentures. If you know what this feels like and are ready for a solution, we have one for you! Mini dental implants are resolving both the practical and social problems associated with dentures. They are most effective in stabilizing dentures to fit better, feel better, look better, and smell better (because they prevent food from getting trapped underneath).
Mini implants can also be used in some crown and bridge applications, as well as some single-tooth replacements. Ask us how you could benefit from this revolutionary option in restorative dentistry!
Drug-Free Headache Prevention
If you suffer from migraine or tension-related headache pain, Dr. Fauver has something to share with you. It’s an innovation in headache prevention that stops your pain at its source – without drugs – so you can find the relief you’re looking for. This FDA approved treatment is a small and simple device worn on your front teeth while you sleep. It helps prevent intense clenching, enabling the muscles in your jaw and head to relax, and it has relieved symptoms in the majority of those who have tried it. You could be next!
